Fourth Wing

OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS

Enter the brutal and elite world of a war college for dragon riders...

Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders.

But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

With fewer dragons willing to bond than cadets, most would kill Violet to better their own chances of success. The rest would kill her just for being her mother’s daughter—like Xaden Riorson, the most powerful and ruthless wingleader in the Riders Quadrant.

She’ll need every edge her wits can give her just to see the next sunrise.

Yet, with every day that passes, the war outside grows more deadly, the kingdom's protective wards are failing, and the death toll continues to rise. Even worse, Violet begins to suspect leadership is hiding a terrible secret.

Friends, enemies, lovers. Everyone at Basgiath War College has an agenda—because once you enter, there are only two ways out: graduate or die

MY REVIEW

This book gives you everything and more! The romance, the plot, the drama, the action! It has no dry page. It stimulates your imagination and there is no useless conversation. The banter and tension are everything! Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe quadrant, however, her mother ordered her to join hundreds of other candidates in an effort to become a dragon rider. With fewer dragons willing to bond than any other year, people are willing to kill for a spot. Others are willing to hurt Violet for her name, Xaden Riorson has been against her since day one. Violet will need every edge to survive to see the next day. Meanwhile, the kingdom’s wards are starting to fail and she suspects that the leadership is hiding a terrible secret.

Violet is one of the most amazing characters that I have read about in a long time! She is witty, respectful, and and has integrity! I could tell from the very beginning how she will do anything for her friends! I also love the tension between her and Xaden! He definitely brings out her teasing side and she isn’t afraid to speak up if she has an issue or idea. There has never been a moment where I was annoyed at her for speaking her mind and being practical. Meanwhile, Xaden is my new book boyfriend! He is lethally hot and the more he talks and teases the more I fall in love! He protects Violet but also doesn’t restrict her and is fine with her doing dangerous things.

I feel this book had no faults! I only had one small problem with Violet always talking about being smaller than everyone else and being more fragile. However, she solved her issues and got through it so I respect her for it. Overall, I rate this book a five out of five stars! It is one of my favorite books and I hope you choose to read it!
